Chiara Adorno
Chef, The TenderFork
A former lawyer and more recently MFA graduate, Chiara is an unlikely chef, until you understand her entrepreneurial drive as well as the pleasure she derives from bringing enjoyment to others. A common denominator in Chiara’s life has been her long-standing passion for entertaining and throwing dinner parties. Her professional cooking career began with talking her way into an internship with renowned Chef Peter X. Kelly at his Restaurant “X” in the Hudson Valley region of New York, where she started by preparing salads and was then hired as a pastry chef. It was there that she learned to make soufflés, profiteroles, tuiles and everything French.
Baking was always second nature to Chiara when at the age of 11; she created and prepared a 4-course meal for her parents’ dinner party of 8, topping things off with 8 individual Baked Alaskas.
In her spare time Chiara is a seasoned hiker, and all-around wilderness lover and enthusiast of the great outdoors.
