Joanne Weir is a James Beard Award-winning cookbook author, cooking teacher, and host and executive producer for the award-winning PBS TV series Joanne Weir's Cooking Confidence and her newest series Joanne Weir Gets Fresh. She is the chef and owner of Copita and launched Joanne Weir Wines, receiving numerous accolades. The author of 17 cookbooks, including Cooking Confidence, Joanne writes for many magazines and appears frequently on national television. A fourth-generation professional cook, Joanne spent five years cooking at Chez Panisse after receiving a Master Chef Diploma with Madeleine Kamman. When she's not teaching in her San Francisco studio kitchen, she's traveling and teaching throughout the world.
