Josh Christensen
Josh is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and is the majority owner of Sidecar in downtown SLO. Josh began bartending at the now-defunct Mission Grill in downtown SLO. After graduating from Cal Poly in 2005, Josh moved to San Diego to tend bar and manage numerous local hot spots. From there he moved to Austin, TX where he managed bars on the now famous Rainey Street. One of the bars he managed there, Bar Ilegal, was the first ever "mezcal only" bar in the country. When not mixing drinks, Josh spends most of his time with his wife Lauren and two children, Cassius and Penelope.
Josh passionately supports independent distillers. He enjoys a beer or glass of wine from time to time, but his love really lies in spirits and cocktails. Josh is excited to be a part of a growing spirit and cocktail culture here in the central coast. He hopes to help grow interest and knowledge of all things cocktail, and strives to do so in an authentic and pretense-free manner.
