Maegen Loring
Executive Chef, Niner Wine Estates
A diehard farmer’s market enthusiast and central coast chef for over twenty years, maegen is the creative powerhouse behind the restaurant at Niner Wine Estates. After starting Maegen Loring Catering, her skill in the kitchen and her aptitude of pairing local wines with her dishes quickly made her the favored Chef for special events. In 2003 she opened The Park Restaurant with her husband, which became a Central Coast fine dining destination. In 2009 after a short hiatus from the restaurant grind they opened The Neon Carrot. Featuring casual dining for breakfast and lunch, they soon added Friday night special menus to allow Chef Maegen to further express her creative talent, with farm to table cuisine accented by bold flavors. She now applies her abundant talent to creating farm to table cuisine paired with Niner Wine Estates wines with two goals: to utilize local and seasonal ingredients whenever possible, and to create pairings that accentuate the nuances and living characteristics found in wine.
